About Valerie Geiger, Partner & Attorney

Valerie Geiger is the Managing Partner of Cucinelli Geiger, PC, and brings more than twenty years of experience in Elder Law and Special Needs Planning to her work with individuals and families across Northern Virginia. Valerie helps clients build thoughtful, forward-looking legal plans that protect their well-being, preserve their resources, and honor the legacy they want to leave. Her practice focuses on Estate Planning, Medicaid Planning, Special Needs Planning, Probate, Guardianships, and Conservatorships.

Valerie’s work is grounded in real-life experience. She has personally served as a Trustee, Medical Agent, Guardian, and Conservator, giving her unique insight into the practical challenges families face when navigating complex care, disability, and long-term planning decisions. This perspective shapes her approach and helps her craft plans that truly meet her clients’ needs.

Valerie is a committed advocate within the elder law and special needs communities. She has served on the Boards of Insight Memory Care Center and the Virginia Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (VAELA), is an active member of the Fairfax Bar Association, and frequently speaks throughout Northern Virginia on Elder Law and Special Needs Planning topics. Her professional excellence has been recognized through ongoing selection to Super Lawyers (2017–2026) and to the Top Lawyers Lists in Northern Virginia Magazine and Washingtonian.

Valerie earned her B.A. from Dickinson College and her J.D. from Widener University School of Law. She is licensed to practice in Virginia, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and the District of Columbia.
