About Cary Cucinelli, Partner & Attorney

Cary Cucinelli is a Founding Partner of Cucinelli Geiger, PC. Cary has dedicated nearly two decades to helping individuals and families plan, protect, and navigate life’s most challenging transitions. Her practice focuses exclusively on Estate Planning, Probate, Trust Administration, Adult Guardianships, and Conservatorships.

Cary is known for her calm, straightforward approach to complex issues. She works closely with clients to ensure they understand their options, feel supported in their decisions, and have plans that reflect their values and long-term goals. Her steady presence and practical guidance have earned her the trust of families throughout Northern Virginia, as well as the respect of local courts.

In addition to her client work, Cary is frequently appointed by the courts to serve as Guardian, Conservator, Trustee, and fiduciary decision-maker for incapacitated adults, as well as to manage trusts and estates. She views this work as an opportunity to protect vulnerable individuals and help families find stability during difficult times.

Cary is an active contributor to the elder law and estate planning community. She has volunteered her time with the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), the Board of Directors of the Virginia Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (VAELA), the Board of Governors of the Trusts & Estates Section of the Virginia State Bar, the Fifth Disciplinary District Committee of the Virginia State Bar, and the Fairfax Bar Association.

Her commitment to professional excellence has been recognized through ongoing honors, including selection to Super Lawyers (2014–2026), Rising Stars, and the Top Lawyers Lists in Northern Virginia Magazine and Washingtonian.

A native of the Shenandoah Valley, Cary graduated from The College of William & Mary and earned her J.D. from George Mason University School of Law. She is licensed to practice in Virginia.
