The Stano Law Firm
About Paul Stano, Founder & Attorney
More than 30 years ago, Paul Stano founded The Stano Law Firm. His passion for elder law was ignited after spending his college summers working in the local steel mills where senior, more experienced workers looked out for him and his safety.
After a few years in private practice, he was struck by how many members of this same hard-working community were losing their life savings to nursing homes. That’s when he realized that it was his turn to pay it forward and use his experience to help the folks that looked out for him all those summers ago in the steel mills.
The wealth building and wealth protection strategies he designs for his clients have received rave reviews. Sadly, many people aren’t proactive to combat rising long-term care expenses and have lost their homes and other assets. In nearby Parma Heights, Paul provides faster-than-a speeding-bullet service and timely answers to his clients’ pressing needs.
Paul is the author of several books including the Consumer Guide to Paying for Nursing Home Costs; the Consumer Guide for Paying for Assisted Living; the Complete Guide to Asset Protection for Seniors; and Don’t Go Broke in a Nursing Home. He is a sought after speaker and has appeared on television and radio. Paul and his expert team are ready to be of his assistance!
On a personal note, Paul is a graduate of Cleveland State University Law School. He is the father of two boys; Christian who works in Washington D.C and Bretton who is starting college at Ohio University.
Paul is an avid golfer who feels that some of the most valuable life lessons come from the golf course. In particular the lesson of learning to deal with things you can’t control. When asked why, he said, “Have you ever hit a shot that you felt was so perfect but the result was awful? You end up with a bad kick in the fairway that puts you in the water? Or it hits a sprinkler head and puts you 30 yards over the green? It happens! But one of the things you start to learn is that you must start to accept the things that are out of your control — and then use your skills and maybe even the advice of an experienced golfer to help you out.”
Over and over life has taught him that you have to prepare for the unexpected and the best way to prepare is to have a trusted advisor in your corner. This is Paul’s mission and the mission of every member of the Stano Law Firm.
From the moment you walk through the door, you’re family.
